What happens when you head into the wilderness of Death Valley with a 2WD vehicle you thought was a 4WD? Our adventure touring through the eastern side of Death Valley followed by some gear reviews. We cannot wait to go back!

For Marmot’s design team I have encouraged and spearheaded the importance of gear testing. It’s been fun to get back from trips and aggregate data to then present it back to the team in a polished format. Not only do we get an opportunity to bond as a team but we are able to collaborate on new and innovative design ideas. Getting outside to test our equipment and influence our seasonal product is one of the most important aspects of our job. We can directly influence the product because we can speak to what works and what is not necessary.
